Shalonda Warren knows what it means to struggle and overcome life’s challenges. Born in the Chicago suburbs in a steel mill community, she has seen first-hand what happens when jobs disappear. As a young girl, she over a decade living on military bases around the world as her father was a member of the U.S. Army.
